The Addiction Research Program aims to advance the treatment of Veterans with substance use disorders through novel research projects.

INTERESTS

  • New behavioral and pharmacological treatments for Veterans with alcohol use disorder (AUD), posttraumatic stress disorder(PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI).
  • Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to explore neurobiological mechanisms.
  • Designing treatment interventions that incorporate innovative technology approaches that promote engagement and allow for wide dissemination of empirically supported preventive and early treatment strategies.
  • Improving the care of Methadone Treatment patients with chronic hepatitis C infection.
